STACEY Solomon has shown off yet another impressive home hack after upcycling a children’s sandpit.

The busy mum-of-four, who has become famed for her ‘tap to tidy’ posts on her Instagram account, let her followers in on the transformation process and revealed she’d used just two simple steps along the way.

Explaining she had been busy working on ‘Project Sandpit’ for a couple of days, 32-year-old Stacey told her 5.1 million Instagram followers that she was thrilled with the results that saw the sandpit go from boring and green to grey and bursting with personality.

Uploading a video of how she achieved the bold new look, Stacey showed how she painted the entire sandpit in a grey beige colour, before highlighting parts of the shell in a different tone.

Next, she continued by spray painting the shell of the sandpit and added some stickers to make it stand out from the crowd even more.

She wrote alongside it: “Soo I painted him yesterday and just stuck the stickers on just now so he’s finally finished.”

She went on to thank social media star Little Lauren for giving her the idea in the first place, adding: “How cute. I love it so much. Thank you for the inspiration @itslittlelauren.”

The Loose Women star, who is engaged to Joe Swash, then shared how quick and simple it was to do, sharing how you only need paint and stickers to do it yourself at home.

Stacey continued: “Used leftover paint for his body… Then I spray painted his shell and bought some seaside wall decals from @label.lady1.”

As her loyal followers applauded her efforts and said they’d be following in her footsteps and having a go themselves, one asked which paint Stacey had used.

She answered: “I literally just used paint I had from the house and some spray paint. But I did put a sealer on.

“I’ve only just done the shell so it seems a bit shiny because it seems like the type of thing that will chip really easily, so I’ll let you know how it lasts.”

However, that’s not the only garden project Stacey has on the go, as she later gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek of how her garden is taking shape.

Giving everyone a glimpse of the outside area of Pickle Cottage where she’s begun the process of building a Pergola and Fireplace, Stacey wrote: “The pergola has begun.

“At the end in the pit is where the fireplace will start tomorrow. I can’t wait to stain it and cover it in plants.”
