ARMED cops swooped on London Euston station and placed it on lockdown following a brawl.

Police were called to reports of a man having been stabbed with a knife but later found no weapons had been used.

Witnesses claimed passengers were seen "running in panic" as the busy station was evacuated today.

Police were called at around 1.27pm today and the station was re-opened a short time later.

Officers said two men were involved in the brawl despite witnesses reporting a larger disturbance.

No-one has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing.

A spokesman said: "Officers were called to Euston station at 1:27pm following reports of an altercation between two men involving the use of a knife.

"Our investigation found that there was no knife involved and no stabbing took place.

"The incident has been classed as ABH assault."
