ZAC CLOUGH scored twice from the penalty spot to send Bolton Wanderers up to second in the League One table.

The promising striker was fouled on both occasions, and dusted himself down to fire past Bury keeper Ben Williams.

It was a relatively easy night's work for Phil Parkinson's side against a side who haven't won for six games.

Niall Maher was adjudged to have fouled Clough in the 13th minute, and the 21 year old made no mistake from the spot.

And the hot prospect repeated that feat in the 56th minute after he took a tumble from a Leon Barnett challenge.

Speaking after the game, Clough said: "The first one was definitely a penalty, so it was a good decision from the referee.

"And the second one I felt an arm across me, so it was one too.

"All credit goes to the gaffer, he's put a smile on my face and I can't wait until the next game, that's the mentality."

Of Clough, manager Phil Parkinson added: "He's been getting better all the time, and it's terrific to have him back."
